Vertex Professional Services Ltd. Receives CSA Funding for Natural Resource Development

Vertex Professional Services Ltd. (“Vertex”) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded contributions from the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) via the smartEarth initiative to assist in the development of new environmental services in the areas of Earth Observation (EO) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applied to natural resource development and the oil and gas industry.

Vertex will continue to develop automated spatial and image analysis techniques multispectral and synthetic aperture RADAR (SAR) data and various other spatial data sets including in situ environmental data and spaceborne to:

• Provide innovative EO techniques and tools
• Monitor the long-term success of land reclamation
• Reduce environmental impact including ground disturbance, greenhouse gas emissions, and noise pollution associated with heavy machinery
• Reduce cost and environmental impacts associated with environmental monitoring
