Community involvement lies at the heart of our commitment to support the communities in which we live and work, including the support of Aboriginal Nations with whom we partner. Vertex aims to make a difference in the places in which we operate through local economic growth, career opportunities, donations, sponsorship and by empowering/encouraging our team members to become directly involved with various charities and charitable events.

Since 2010, Vertex has been an avid supporter of the Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation. The Stollery Children’s Hospital Foundation works to build the best children’s health care delivery, research and teaching institutions in the world.

Vertex is as active supporter of the Hospitals of Regina Foundation and has contributed to various past events in support of this foundation including the ‘Pipeline of Dreams Golf Tournament’ and  ‘The Power of Pink’ Fashion Show.

Vertex partners with Arctic Chiller Custom Label Bottled Water to help raise money for the STARS Air Ambulance. A portion of each bottle purchased goes to support STARS, to ensure this organization can continue to provide rapid and specialized emergency care and transportation for critically ill and injured patients.

Vertex has proudly supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation through various events including the Valleyview Cup Hockey Tournament in support of granting a wish to a well deserving child so that they can realize how much fun it is to be a kid.

Vertex is proud to support a number of local organizations in the Rycroft, Valleyview and Spirit River area. Select events and organizations that Vertex has supported include: Bonanza Bring It Society, Spirit River Rangers, the Spirit River Arena, the Spirit River Curling Rink, Rycroft Race the Eight Rodeo, Rycroft School, the Spirit River, Savanna and Bonanza Agricultural Society and the Rycroft Agricultural Society.

During 2016, Fort McMurray was evacuated due to wildfires in the area. This evacuation took a massive toll on the Fort McMurray community. Vertex held a non-perishable food, toiletry and clothing drive in support of those who had been evacuated. Vertex also made wellsite trailers available to be used as temporary living spaces for those evacuated and for those helping to fight the fires.

The Vertex team was glad to have the chance to help with Trail Days, an annual event at South Cooking Lake. This full day event features a kid’s zone, a car show and numerous other family fun events. Vertex helped out with this event in 2014, 2015 and 2017.

Vertex is proud to support the Autumn Leaves Charity Open in support of the Lloydminster Interval Home and the Lloydminster Sexual Assault & Information Centre.

Vertex is proud to have sponsored numerous local sporting teams including the 2014 – 2015 West Central Bantam Female Wildcats Hockey Team, the 2013 – 2014 Midget Female Sylvan Lake Lakers Hockey Team, the 2013 – 2014 Lloydminster Atom Canadian Tire Kings and the 2014 Fort McMurray Monarchs Football Club.

Vertex is proud to sponsor Ron Hodgson Chevrolet Buick GMC Golf Classic in support of the Canadian Paraplegic Association (Alberta). This charity golf tournament helps to further CPA (Alberta)’s mission to assist persons with spinal cord injuries and other physical disabilities to achieve independence, self-reliance and full community participation.

Vertex is proud to have sponsored the Haisla Nation Golf Event. This great event in support of “Youth in Sports”, helps to ensure that the children in the Haisla Nation have the proper equipment and instruction to develop leadership skills and life-long fitness habits through community-based sports programs.
